| That pissed off guy in the beginning was Haibac Twyce, making his first T. Bob Tubb debut. It actually might have been his second T. Bob Tubb debut. But he has a wonderful redneck voice that we hope to incorporate into many other skits in the future.
Mr. Mopitus Adjessant had the privilege of editing this skit, and I think he took many...artistic liberties with it...including many sound effects which I think add a lot. I like the idea of Special Agent Marshall Johnson appearing out of thin air or through some sort of time portal or something like that. I am at the advantage -- or at the disadvantage -- of doing my commentary second, so Mopy --as I like to call him -- has already covered the fact that this script was pretty much written as we were going along...so...hence the bizarreness of it. I think it's interesting to note, though, that one of the many facets of this skit is that both Mopitus and I equally despise the name Lampwick...we really don't like it at all, in fact we've had far, far too much of it. And we tried not to use the name that much in this skit, but we had so much, just blatantly Lampwick material, so we sort of had to jam it in there, in this almost alternate plot line. In fact, at the end of the group recording process for this, (laugh)...I don't know why, and you can hear it in the outtakes, but we did an entire section that lasted something like 15 minutes or half an hour, where we were just recording non-stop Lampwick cheers...and murmurs of agreement. Most of these cheers were derivitives of cheers that we had done for our high school swim team -- that's Mopitus, myself, and Up Downs, who actually does Lampwick's voice, and I'm very glad...and even though Mr. Downs is not an actual undercover Jehovah's Witness, I'd have to say that on a trans-Atlantic missionary flight, I would trust him to be my Jehovah's Witness. This is either the second or third T. Bob Tubb skit we've done that makes reference to National Raincoat Awareness Month or Day...this was actually a holiday created by someone who's not a member of T. Bob Tubb -- but should be -- and Mopitus Adjessant during high school. And we thought it would be a good tradition to carry through. Or, as we like to say, we ar creating Inside Jokes for Outsiders. Actually, I should be honest here: we don't really like to say that. I just like to say that we like to say that. |
