| This skit is actually less of a skit, and more of a radio promo, which is why we call it the Soil & Green Show Promo (yeah: we're that smart). Anyway, it's a promo for Walter's show that
he used to do on UMaine's radio station, WMEB. And the show was, aptly enough, called The Soil & Green Show (ask Walter why he chose that name). And he's got a couple others that he's done, and I think they're brilliantly
done. This one takes the cake, not only for the Super Mario background music, but also just because of the way he takes his interviewees' words right out of context. So, in a sense, he didn't even write this...although I'm sure he had an idea of what he was going for.
He let it write itself, and brilliantly put it together. What a great guy! Oh, and that's an early appearance by Victor Arious at the very end...great voice, and superb line! |
